Share market update: Private Bank shares decline; YES Bank down over 3%

gettyimages-bankNEW DELHI: Shares of Private banks were trading with losses in Thursday’s afternoon session.

Shares of YES Bank (down 3.53 per cent), IndusInd BankNSE -2.80 % (down 1.77 per cent), DCB BankNSE 0.02 % (down 1.71 per cent) and IDFC First Bank (down 1.21 per cent) were the worst performers in the index.

Federal Bank (down 1.12 per cent), RBL Bank (down 0.49 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 0.25 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.21 per cent) too were trading with losses.

The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.59 per cent down at 17,309 around 12:38 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 26.65 points at 11,760.50 while the BSE Sensex was down 74.47 points at 39,201.17.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Wipro, YES Bank, SAIL, Ashok Leyland, ICICI Bank, RIL, DLF and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
